Back in the early days of 2020 — when the world felt upside‑down, grocery stores were half‑empty, and everyone was trying to figure out how to live through a pandemic — I started writing what became known as my Virus Tips of the Day.
They weren’t medical advice. They weren’t official guidelines. They were little daily lifelines — a mix of humor, common sense, porch wisdom, and real‑life moments from our home.
Every day, I posted one tip on Facebook to help friends and family smile, breathe, and feel a little less alone. Some were practical, some were chaotic, some were heartfelt, and some were downright silly. But they all had one purpose:
To help people get through the day with a grin instead of a groan.
Over time, the Virus Tips became a running tradition — something folks looked forward to, shared, and laughed about. They captured the spirit of those strange months: the fear, the boredom, the creativity, the family moments, and the humor we used to survive it all.
And that brings us to one of the most beloved tips — courtesy of Kerry himself.

“Take a nap. That’s it. Short and sweet. Be safe, be blessed, I love you all.” ⛑💤💤💛💚💗
This one became a fan favorite because it was simple, relatable, and exactly the kind of sanity‑saving advice we all needed at the time. Sometimes the best thing you could do during the pandemic was just… lie down and reset.
